Introduction to the Department of Marxist-Leninist Studies

1. General Introduction

The Department of Marxist-Leninist Studies is a specialized unit under the Faculty of Political Theory, established by the Decision of the President of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade (HUIT).

2. Functions and Duties

  • a) Manage the content, quality, and instructional progress of the following courses: Marxist-Leninist Philosophy (Undergraduate and Graduate levels), Marxist-Leninist Political Economy, and Scientific Socialism, in accordance with the university and faculty's general training programs and teaching plans.

  • b) Develop and refine course syllabi; organize the compilation of reference materials tailored to course content as assigned by the Dean and the President.

  • c) Research and innovate teaching methodologies; organize the assessment and evaluation of students' learning processes and outcomes according to university regulations.

  • d) Conduct scientific research and apply research findings to teaching; execute scientific activities as planned by the University and the Faculty.

  • e) Formulate staff development plans; participate in the training and professional development of lecturers and researchers within the specialized field.

  • f) Organize the evaluation of management, training, and scientific and technological activities of individuals, the Department, the Faculty, and the University as required by the University Council, the President, and the Dean.

3. Organizational Structure

Currently, the Department consists of 15 lecturers, including 11 Doctors (PhDs) and 04 Masters. All lecturers are formally trained, enthusiastic, and highly responsible, possessing extensive experience and high professional competence.
